This is going to be a quick post. If you’re a big fan of chocolate, this is for you. Moist, cheewy, not too sweet yet intense chocolate flavor. Oo how I love Jamie Oliver… My dream is to cook with him at his cool kitchen 🙂
I pick this recipe to get my self back in track of baking habit. Baked it on friday night at 9, tired yet exited.
This dish is fail proof so I highly recommend it for beginner. I only made 1/2 recipe and use brownie pan 10 x 20 cm. Modification has been done a little bit to suit our taste. You can grab the original recipe here.
• 100 gr unsalted butter
• 100 gr dark cooking chocolate, broken up
• 20 gr cocoa powder + 20 gr cappucino powder
• 35 gr plain flour
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 100 gr caster sugar
• 2 large eggs
Almond flakes for topping
Preheat your oven to 180°C.
Line a 10 x 20 cm brownie baking tin with overhanging greaseproof paper.
In a large bowl over some simmering water, melt the butter and the chocolate and mix until smooth.
In a separate bowl, sift together the cocoa powder, cappucino powder, flour, baking powder and sugar, then add this to the chocolate mixture. Stir together well. Beat the eggs and mix in
until you have a silky consistency.
Pour your brownie mix into the baking tray, topped with almond flakes. Place in the oven for around 25 minutes.
You don’t want to overcook them. So, unlike cakes, you don’t want a skewer to come out all clean. The brownies should be slightly springy on the outside but still gooey in the middle.
Allow to cool in the tray, then carefully transfer to a large chopping board and cut into chunky squares. These make a fantastic dessert. I served it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
